PS 102 Wins Big!
The lone elementary school to receive a Project 25 grant set the standard for excellence in our inaugural year, wining the top three prizes.
Seven fifth graders from PS 102 turned their $100 grant into $3,200 from 200 students and local businesses by organizing a 5k waterfront Fun Run in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. They donated proceeds to support Water Aid’s mission to provide clean water to developing countries. Their efforts brought home three Campus Awards prizes:
- 1st Place overall for creativity, impact, and sustainability;
- The Mob Award for bringing the most guests to the celebration; and
- The Popularity Award for most views on their video report (222 as of showtime).
