It feels good to be a philanthropist!
This spring, we at SchoolPartners.NYC will practice the gift of giving through a new collaboration that launches today, Project 25 NYC.
On April 1, we will invest $100 mini grants in up to 50 student groups at schools citywide. In return the students will:
- Multiply the money
- In the service of others
- And tell us about it in a 90 second video on YouTube by May 15.
Then we’ll celebrate their great work in a red carpet extravaganza on June 5th.
This bicoastal collaboration began when Urban Youth Collaborative pioneered Project 25 in San Diego in 2009. Since then, it’s captured the imagination of some of Hollywood’s biggest names and San Diego public officials alike. We are proud to bring it to New York as Project 25’s first replication site.
